1 Operating Characteristics
Rated voltage: 0.6/1kV
Max. permissible continuous operating temperature of conductor with XLPE insulation: 90°C
Max. temperature of conductor during short-circuit (5s max. duration) shall not exceed: 250°C
The ambient temperature under installation should not be lower than: -20°C
The bending radius of cable is recommended as following:
When the diameter of cable is less than 25mm: not less than 4 times of the diameter of cable
When the diameter of cable is not less than 25mm: not less than 6 times of the diameter of cable
When the cable is used in alternative current system, the rated voltage of cable should be at least equal to the rated voltage of system; when the cable is used in direct current system, the rated voltage of system should not greater than 1.5 times of the rated voltage of the cable.

 

  

2. Application Properties

2.1.ABC cable is primarily used on lighting,outdoor lighting,and temporary service for construction.

2.2.The conductor longterm maximum working temperature: PE insulation should not exceed 75°C, XLPE insulation should not exceed 90°C.

2.3.During short circuit (maximum permanent time is not more than 5 seconds), the maximum temperature of cable conductor: XLPE insulation 250 °C, High-density polyethylene insulation 150°C. 

2.4.When laying the cable,minimum ambient temperature of laying should not be lower than -20°C.

2.5.The minimum bending radius: ≥20 (D+d) ±5mm, D is the cable overall diameter, d is the conductor diameter.

 

3.ABC cable meets or exceeds the following specifications:

3.1. Aluminum cable,1350-H19 for electrical purposes.

3.2. Aluminum conductors,concentric-lay-stranded.

3.3.Aluminum conductors,concentric-lay-stranded,coated steel reinforced(ACSR).

3.4.Concentric-lay-stranded 6201-T81 conductors.

3.5.Compressed round stranded aluminum conductors using single input conductor.

ABC cable meets or exceeds all applicable requirements of ANSI /ICEA S-76-474.

Primarily used for 120volt overhead service application such as street lighting,outdoor lighting,and temporary service for construction.To be used at voltages of 600 volts phase-to-phase or less and at conductor temperatures not to exceed 75 for polyethylene insulated conductors or 90 for crosslinked polyethylene(XLP) insulated conductors.
